We are fully operational during this time, while also following social distancing guidelines.
I wanted to give you an update from the owner and operator of Special Interest Answering Service, Ramona.

We had a STARK realization about the effect we have on people's lives. First I wanted to give you an update on how we have dealt with the pandemic:

We take many precautions when it comes to employee safety, including offering remote work options, disinfectant and equipment for employees.

When COVID-19 came to the U.S., we decided to buckle down and get as many operators home as possible so as to minimize the spread of this infectious disease to our families and loved ones.

We take social distancing seriously and expect no one to endanger themselves or their loved ones for work. That wouldn't be right, so we don't do it.

Luckily this business translates easily to remotely working from home, so we keep staff at home and make sure we are still fully operational. We have many redundant systems that allow us to keep a minimal number of people on site.

We will continue to take this virus seriously so as to not only protect our employees but also our clients' businesses as well.

Now a word from the owner!

"Everyone... we are scattered all thru the states now. Regardless that this virus epidemic has scattered us out...I personally feel closer together than ever before. We are a family, we care about each other, we are rooting for each other and in need I believe we would all step up and help each other.
Thank you for being a part of my family.

I also want to note that while businesses around us are not all doing well...even doctors are struggling... God has blessed us, we are able to keep going. I take that seriously. Think about this. We answer for about 500 businesses some have 2 employees some have 500+ employees... I am estimating conservatively that we are covering 5,000 employees. Each employee has a family, some large some small..again an estimate we are covering 20,000 lives. You and me and all of us at Special Interest...we are personally touching 20,000+ lives with the work we do. I take it very seriously. These people are trusting us to do our job so they will have jobs to come back to (no pressure right?)

Did you know that Medical Communications is considered a front line industry.. a first responder.... you are a first responder and you didn't even know it right? We are an essential industry at this time in our country's history... I am proud to be in this position and yet it can be intimidating. Glad you are all with me.

Ramona "
Thank you! Have a great day and stay safe out there!
